Enablement
My passion to advocate for the design thinking process led me to become a certified instructor and facilitator of the LUMA Institute's human-centered design framework. For many years, I taught hundreds of Arity and Allstate employees in human-centered design methodologies, ranging from methods to observe and understand people and their needs, to think in systems and see the broader picture, to frame problems, uncover patterns, and prioritize, and to envision possibilities through concept ideation. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I modified the LUMA Institute’s 2-day, in-person workshop to a virtual format and taught and certified cohorts remotely throughout 2021.
More recently, at CVS Health, I have headed up the Design Enablement team setting the conditions to educate colleagues in and spread human-centered design to multidisciplinary groups of colleagues, spanning many diverse business units.
